SIREVA AND RHANNIGAL GUNDOGS

Welcome to the SIREVA and RHANNIGAL Gundog Kennel owned by Gil and Stephen Simpson. We are a private kennel and a home to Weimaraners, German Shorthaired Pointers (GSP'S) and Labrador Retrievers.

SIREVA

was started in 1979 and since then we have grown into a kennel of some 25 Weimaraners, and a couple of GSP's and Labs. The dogs are bred mainly for showing but several are regularly used in the shooting season. I feel it is important to maintain the working ability of the Weimaraner as well as their looks. I am proud to have made up 2 Full Champions which proves that this kennel does produce Show and Working dogs. I am a Veterinary Surgeon owning a Small Animal practice with a special interest in Canine Reproduction. I am a member of The Kennel Club and serve on the General Committee, the Show Executive Committee, the KCBSAVA Joint Scientific Committee, and the Working Gundog Working Party. I judge Weimaraners at Championship shows, having judged at Crufts in 1998. I am passed to award challenge certificates in GSP'S and I judge all gundogs at open shows and have awarded Best in Show at many all breed open shows.

RHANNIGAL

Stephen's family has been involved with Working GSP'S since 1958. Rhannigal was established in 1975 with his late wife Christine, who showed mainly Weimaraners which were also worked in the field together with our German Shorthaired Pointers.

Home bred dogs in both breeds have been awarded Challenge Certificates.

The Weimaraner Rhannigal Ghost Buster achieved his full title and obedience title in Sweden under the ownership of Magdelena Karlson and was Top Weimaraner in Sweden in 1994.
